What Would You Do If You Woke Up Tomorrow . . . And the Year Is 2005?
Most people have probably wished they could have a "do-over" recently. Maybe it was a meeting you want a second crack at . . . maybe it was a phone call . . . maybe it was that meal you picked up at Taco Bell.
Someone online went BIG, and asked this: "What would you do if you woke up tomorrow . . . and the year is 2005?"
Naturally, many people had heavy responses . . . like spending time with loved ones who have since passed, correcting relationship mistakes, or warning people of problems ahead. But others had lighter responses. Here are a few:
1. "Breathe a huge sigh of relief . . . and do EVERYTHING differently."
2. "I'm firing up 'Halo 2' on Xbox Live ASAP."
3. "I'd take a moment to appreciate how chill things were with no constant notifications, just enjoying simpler tech, like burned CDs and instant messaging."
4. "Tell Blockbuster to buy Netflix."
5. "Buy tech stocks." (Many people suggested financial get-rich schemes they'd do . . . but we need some clarification . . .)
(In this hypothetical, is it a guarantee that everything would happen the same way going forward as it did before? Even ONE person going back could alter things. And . . . would we even REMEMBER the future?)
6. "Shed tears of joy that the last 20 years of trauma and negative events were ALL just a dream."
7. (And also) "Shed tears of sadness that the last 20 years of love, friends, experiences are lost forever."
8. One person said, "I would join my barbershop chorus immediately. I didn't find it until 2020 when I was 35. That alone would change the trajectory of my life."
9. "I'd buy tank tops . . . Aeropostale probably has them 3 for $20."
10. "Go pee. I almost always have to pee when I wake up." (???)
(There was also someone who panicked . . . because they wouldn't have been born yet in 2005. Which IS kinda scary.)
