A Study Found You'll Still Hate Mondays Even When You're Retired
Here's how hard Mondays suck. A new study found they keep messing with us even when we're no longer working.
Researchers tested people's hair to see how much of the stress hormone cortisol they'd been producing.
The ones who said Mondays were the most stressful day of the week . . . (so, everyone?) . . . had 23% more cortisol coursing through their veins. Too much of it can up your risk for heart disease, weight gain, and other issues.
The crazy part is it was even true for people who'd already RETIRED. And they think it's because workweek stress is just so ingrained in us.
When you've spent most of your life stressing about work, school, and the start of a new week, it's just a tough feeling to shake.
So if you hate Mondays now, there's a good chance you'll still hate them in your 70's, 80's, and beyond.
