Little Mix performed at Sunday’s 2017 Kids’ Choice Awards.
It was announced last week that Little Mix would take the stage at the Galen Center at USC to perform during the KCAs ceremony, which is broadcast live on Nickelodeon. The group performed a mashup of “Shout Out To My Ex” and “Touch.” The tracks are a bit of a surprising choice for a kid-friendly event, since the former contains a lyric about sex, while the latter alludes to stripping down with a guy and getting it on.
But both songs are singles off the British act’s most recent album, Glory Days, which came out last November. “Shout Out To My Ex” went to number one on the U.K. Singles Chart, and recently won Little Mix the award for British Single Of the Year at the Brits. The group also performed the catchy tune to kick off that awards show in February.
Meanwhile, “Touch” has peaked at number four on the U.K. Singles Chart. Neither song has had much success on the U.S. charts, with “Touch” not ranking at all and “Shout Out To My Ex” only reaching number 69 on the Billboard Hot 100. Nonetheless, the former “X Factor” contestants do have a sizable American fan base.
In fact, Little Mix is currently Ariana Grande’s opening act for the North American leg of her “Dangerous Woman Tour.” They’ll hit the road on their own “Glory Days Tour” in May, with “Touch” and “Shout Out To My Ex” sure to be part of the set list. At the KCAs, Little Mix went into tonight also nominated for Favorite Global Music Star, a new category, which they now won. Check out the video below!
