John Mayer's House Was Robbed of $100-200,000 Worth of Property

John Mayer is currently living his best life. He's on tour with Dead and Company; he's promoting his recent single "New Light;" he's featured on a track on Travis Scott's buzzworthy new album Astroworld. But when that much good stuff is happening, something bad is bound to mess it all up. And that's exactly what happened on Friday (August 10).

As CBS Los Angeles reports, the rock star's Beverly Hills home was burglarized on Friday just around noon. The thief (or thieves) were able to smash windows to enter, ransack the residence and haul out between $100 and $200,000 worth of property before local police arrived. The stolen goods included some expensive music equipment and Mayer's watch collection.

No one was at the home at the time of the robbery. A security guard noticed the broken window and called the authorities. The suspect (or suspects) are still at large.

The singer-songwriter bought the lavish, more than 7,000-square-foot house from Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine and wife Behati Prinsloo for more than $13 million earlier this year.

This wasn't the only celebrity break-in to happen in the area recently. Earlier this month rapper French Montana's Calabasas home was robbed by armed burglars while he was inside. Thankfully, no one was hurt and nothing was stolen.
